Brand Story
BDA Farm, a regenerative, community-based farm in the heart of the Alabama Black Belt, produces pasture-raised meats, honey, and nuts. Their commitment to sustainable agriculture stems from a belief that farming should work with nature, not against it.
BDA’s mission is to grow food with integrity using regenerative practices that heal the land, treat animals ethically, and strengthen the local community.
The Goal:
Driving Online Sales
The Solution:
Growth marketing strategy focused on creative testing and website optimization.
To capitalize on a modest ad budget, I crafted a strategy featuring a mid-funnel traffic campaign. This approach allowed us to send cost-effective traffic from Facebook and Instagram to the BDA website ahead of a future conversion campaign, as well as test the effectiveness of our audience segmentation, messaging, and creative assets.
To achieve a lift in sales using this mid-funnel approach, the BDA team and I implemented a set of key website conversion optimizations targeted at increasing order quantity and order value. We made it easier to add multiple items to the cart, and adjusted the standard quantities offered on select product detail pages. These changes led to an immediate increase in Average Order Value.
Creative Testing
Our creative strategy used growth hacking tactics rather than a traditional A/B testing methodology. This allowed us to use algorithmic and AI enhancements to maximize success and prioritize an uptick in sales on a small budget.
We ran a series of creatives against each other, using Meta’s Advantage+ creative enhancements
We took full advantage of Meta’s backend capabilities and tested multiple copy variations on each ad
Each product featured unique creative but maintained consistent product copy
